De volgende 2 strand atc's. Voor de 1e heb ik het plaatje op atc formaat geprint en opgeplakt. Daarna de dame in de strandstoel gemaskerd en de palmboom erachter gestempeld.

Voor de 2e heb ik met distress inkt de achtergrond gemaakt. De stempel is van Crafty Individuals.

The next 2 beach atc's. For the first one I printed the image at atc-size. I masked the lady in the chair and stamped the tree behind the picture.

The background of the second one was made with distress ink. The stamp I used is from Crafty Individuals.

On the beach 1

Deze atc's zijn de eerste 2 van een reeks van 9 atc's die ik met het thema strand en zee ga maken. Alle stempels zijn van Oxford Impressions en de plaatjes zijn via internet "bij elkaar gesurfd". Als je dit thema ook leuk vindt houd mijn blog dan in de gaten de komende tijd.

These atc's are the first 2 of a range of 9 atc's that I'm going to make with the theme beach and sea. All the stamps I used are from Oxford Impressions. I found the images surfing on the internet. Keep an eye on my blog if you enjoy this theme as much as I do because there is more to come.

A stroll on the beach

En nog eens een puzzelstuk.. Voor een swap heb ik 2 puzzelstukken gemaakt en dit is er een van. Op een of andere manier spreekt het thema zee en strand me op dit moment aan. Ik ben ook bezig met een serie atc's met dit thema. Deze zullen de komende dagen te zien zijn op mijn blog. De stempels die ik op dit puzzelstuk gebruikt heb zijn van "Time to stamp", Oxford impressions, Hero arts en Stampers Anonymous.

And a puzzlepiece again.. I made 2 puzzle pieces for a swap. This is one of them. The theme sea and beach attracts me at this moment. I'm working on a series of atc's with this theme. Winter

Vanaf januari doe ik een tagswap met Jeanette. Elke maand kiest een van ons een thema, formaat en aantal voor de tags. Voor de rest mag alles. Jeanette koos deze maand voor het thema "Winter" op een tagformaat van 6 bij 10 cm. ovaal. Erg mooi formaat om op te werken!Met de mooie plaatjes die ik op de blog van Nans http://nancydooren.blogspot.com/ vond zijn er deze 3 tags uitgerold.

In january I started a tagswap with Jeanette. Once a month one of us chooses a theme, size and number for the tags. Everything else is free. Jeanette chose the theme "Winter" on a tagsize of 6 by 10 cm. oval. A great size to work with! With the beautiful collage images I spotted on Nans' blog http://nancydooren.blogspot.com/ I made these 3 tags.

Live the width of your life

Heb de smaak van het collagekaarten maken ook aardig te pakken. Voor de achtergrond heb ik het mooie scrappapier van K&C gebruikt en de rest is zo gemakkelijk als het eruit ziet. Roze en paars blijven toch mijn kleurtjes een beetje. En meestal vind ik een kaart niet af als er geen mooie tekststempel aan te pas komt. Deze tekststempel is van Penny Black.

Lately I very much enjoy making collagecards. I used scrapbook paper from K&C for the background. The rest is as easy as it looks. Pink and purple remain my favorite colours for cards. Usually a card isn't finished for me if it doesn't have a nice textstamp on it. The stamp I used for this card is from Penny Black.

Joy

Ik kan het niet helpen, alweer een puzzelstuk. Ik vind het gewoon zo leuk om ze te maken.

Ik heb bewust deze keer voor wat andere kleuren gekozen. De "charming" stempel is van B-line en de swirl ook. Op de achtergrond heb ik de bloemstempel van Stampington gebruikt en de italiaanse tekststempel van Hero arts. Een keer geen bloemetje als accent maar in de rondjes van de swirl heb ik gemstones geplakt. Voor deze puzzelstukken gebruik ik de Versamagic chalkinkt . Een van mijn favoriete inkten en te krijgen in zoveel mooie kleuren!

I can't help myself, a puzzle piece again. I so much enjoy making them. I chose other colours this time. The "charming" stamp is from B-line and so is the swirl. For the background I used a flowerstamp from Stampington and Italian text from Hero arts. No flowers this time to finish of but in the swirls I used gemstones. For these puzzle pieces I use the Versamagic chalkink. It's one of my favorites and available in so many splendid colours.

Pals

Kreeg gisteren deze nieuwe Inkadinkadostempel "Pals" binnen. Had meteen zin om er iets mee te maken. Met Sija had ik een puzzelstuk-swap afgesproken dus... 1 en 1 is 2! De achtergrond is geverfd met acrylverf en daarna bestempeld met Brilliance cosmic copper. Vervolgens gestempeld en geëmbossed met stempels van Hero arts (friends), Above the mark en Stampers Anonymous (de rondjes). Afgewerkt met tape van 7gipsies, een bloempje en een bradje.

Yesterday my new Inkadinkadostamp "Pals" arrived. I immediately felt like making something with it. I agreed with Sija on a puzzlepiece swap so.... 1 and 1 is 2! De background is painted with acrylic paint and stamped with Brilliance Cosmic Copper. After that I stamped and embossed with stamps form Hero arts (friends), Above the Mark and Stampers Anonymous (the circles). Finished it with 7gipsies tape, a flower and brad.

Gezinsuitbreiding op komst/a new family member arriving

Nee dit is geen foto van mij en ik ben ook niet zwanger. Over zo'n week of zeven komt er een nieuwe borderterrier pup bij ons wonen. Een van de jongens of meisjes op deze foto zal het worden. Welke weten we nog niet. Toen deze foto genomen werd waren ze net enkele dagen oud. Inmiddels zijn we afgelopen vrijdag voor het eerst op "kraamvisite" geweest. Ontzettend leuk en superschattig zijn ze die kleine wurmen. Oogjes en oortjes nog dicht en met op dit moment maar 2 doelen in het leven drinken en slapen.

No this is not a picture of me and I'm not pregnant either. In about seven weeks we expect a new borderterrier puppy to join us. It will be one of the boys or girls on this picture, but we don't know which one yet. This picture was taken when then were only a few days old. Last friday we visited them for the first time. That was fun. They are so cute these little ones. Their eyes and ears are still shut. At this moment they've only got 2 goals in life, drinking and sleeping.

Retro Atc

Het begon met een experiment met de paint daubers van Adirondack. Zo rolde het knalgroene achtergrondje eruit. Ja en wat moet je daar dan voor kleuren bij combineren? Tot ik dit plaatje tegen kwam. Toen was duidelijk dat ie rood en groen zou gaan worden. Uiteindelijk is het qua stijl behoorlijk retro geworden vind ik.
De paint daubers kunnen me overigens in het gebruik niet zo bekoren. Gelukkig maar, hoef ik ook eens een keertje iets nieuws niet te hebben..

It all started with experimenting with the paint daubers from Adirondack. That's how I ended up with this very green background. Didn't really know what colours to combine it with until I came across this picture. At that moment it was clear to me that it had to be red and green. Ended up in retro style.
I don't really enjoyed working with the paint daubers. That's good news, for once something new that I don't like and therefore not have to buy..

Enjoy

"Eindelijk" weer eens een kaartje gemaakt. Weinig inspiratie de laatste dagen dus ik heb de deur van mijn hobbykamer maar even dichtgelaten. Heb laatst een heleboel spin&splash achtergrondjes tegelijk gemaakt. Voordeel is dat ik er nu maar eentje hoefde te pakken en meteen aan de slag kan.

"Finally" made a card again. I didn't have that much inspiration the past few days. I made several spin&splash backgrounds a while ago. So now I could pick one and get started to make a card right a-way.

Nog een collagekaart/another collagecard

Deze collagekaart heb ik gemaakt voor een swap. Het was een heel gepuzzel voor alles een beetje op zijn plaats viel maar nu ben ik er wel tevreden mee. Een beetje zoet is ie wel, maar ik houd van deze kleuren.

Made this collagecard for a swap. I took a while before everything fitted in. But I'm sattisfied with it now. The colours are a bit sweet but I love this combination of colours.

Een nieuwe verslaving/a new addiction

Ben ineens ook helemaal weg van het bestempelen van die grote puzzelstukken. Heb een flinke voorraad ingeslagen en in de gesso gezet. Deze 2 heb ik eerst gekleurd met acrylverf en daarna bestempeld met chalkinkt en bewerkt met embossingpoeder. De tekststempels zijn van Stampers Anonymous, een van mijn favoriete stempelmerken. De stempel van de music man en de kinderen zijn van de nieuwe lijn van Paper Artsy "Urban snapshots". Ik verwerk de puzzelstukken niet in een kaart omdat ik het heel leuk vind om ze zo te versturen.

I'm getting addicted to stamping on these giant puzzlepieces. I put a layer of gesso on the printed side of the puzzlepiece and paint it with acryllic paint. I used chalkinks to stamp and finished with embossing several parts. I used stamps from Stampers Anonymous and from "Paper Artsy's" new plates "Urban snapshots". I don't incorporate the pieces in cards but send them just as they are.

Deze 2 atc's heb ik gemaakt voor een alfabetswap. "Quickstep" heeft een achtergrond gemaakt met alcoholinkt. De stempel is van Queens dresser drawers. "Romance" heeft een gemarmerde achtergrond. Deze swirlstempel is in korte tijd een van mijn favorieten geworden. Hij is van
B-line. Het plaatje is van Tuscan Rose.

I made these atc's for an alphabetswap. "Quickstep" has a background made with alcoholink. The stamp is from Queen dresser drawers. De "Romance" background is marbled. The swirlstamp I used is one of my favorites. It's from B-line. The collagepicture is from Tuscan Rose.

Collagekaart/collagecard

Deze collagekaart heb ik ook pas gemaakt. Ik kwam op het idee doordat ik de labels zag die Harrie van zijn nieuwe spijkerbroek had gehaald. Die zitten nu dus op deze kaart. De stempel is van Paperbag studios.

Gestart!!!/started up!!!

Zie zoveel mooie blogs en ze geven me zoveel inspiratie, dat ik het wel een leuk idee vond om zelf een blog te starten. Ik hoop met mijn werk op mijn beurt anderen te inspireren. Heb intusssen al zo'n half uurtje zitten worstelen om iets aan de layout te doen zonder al te veel succes. Heb ook even niet zo veel geduld vanavond. Dus dan maar een 1e berichtje en een 1e foto. Een spin&splashkaart die ik pas gemaakt heb.

I get so much inspiration from all the beautiful blogs I visit. So I thought it would be a good idea to start a blog of my own. I hope I can inspire other people with my artwork. I'm working on the layout. In the meanwhile I posted my first message and photo. It's a spin&splashcard I made recently.
