Nieuwe challenge site!/New challenge site

Vind je een Moo (2,8 x 7 cm) ook zo'n leuk formaat om mee te werken? Dan is er nu een hele leuke nieuwe challenge site waar elke week op vrijdag een nieuwe thema komt. Hij heet make a moo or two
Het eerste thema is "Romance" en dit is mijn bijdrage. Of eigenlijk de sampler voor het thema want ik ben degene die deze site heeft opgezet. Maar er gaan nog meer mensen die prachtige dingen maken hosten de komende tijd. In ieder geval Sija, Hermine en Nans.

Do you like to size of a Moo ( 1,1 x2,8 inch) as much as I do? If you do there's a great new challengesite where there will be a new theme each friday. It's called make a moo or two .
The first theme is "Romance"and this is my entry. Or actually it's the sampler for the theme because I'm the one that started the challenge. But there are more people who make gorgeous things that are going to host. Sija, Hermine en Nans already agreed on being a host every once in a while.

Stamping Valentine

Deze set hartjes heb ik gemaakt voor een Valentijn swap op een van mijn groepen. Voor de achtergrond heb ik de paintdaubers van Adirondack gebruikt en gestempeld met verschillende kleuren Stazon. Ik blijf het super vinden wat voor een mooie achtergrondjes je daarmee kunt maken. Klik op de foto's om ze te vergroten en meer detail te zien.

I made these hearts for a Valentine swap on one of my groups. I used Adirondack paintdaubers for the background and stamped with different colours Stazon. I love the backgrounds you can make with the daubers. Click on the pics to enlarge and see more detail.

Techniekenswap met Jeanette/techniqueswap with Jeanette

Jeanette is al langere tijd een van mijn vaste swapmaatjes. We hebben samen een tagswap gedaan en inmiddels ben ik dan ook in het bezit van een prachtige verzameling tags in allerlei maten en kleuren. We vonden het dan ook tijd voor iets anders en gaan een jaar lang een techniekenswap doen op het formaat 10x10 cm. Om deze kaartje op te bergen hebben we voor elkaar de kaften van een zutterboekje gemaakat. Deze voor- en achterkant heb ik voor Jeanette gemaakt.

Jeanette is one of my swapmates for quit a time now. We did a tagswap together and I am the proud owner now of a collection of gorgeous tags in all different sizes and colours. We decided that it was time for a change. So now we are going to do a techniqueswap for 1 year on 4 x 4 inch size. To store these cards we made a zutterbooklet for each other. I made this front- and backside for Jeanettes booklet.

Mixed Media Monday "Swirls"

Het thema van mixedmediamonday is swirls deze week. Kon niet anders dan (opnieuw..) mijn favoriete swirl van Stampington gebruiken. Ik heb een grote tag tot een kaart veranderd voor iemand die pas verhuisd is. De foto van de deur is een foto die ik de afgelopen zomervakantie in Italië gemaakt heb. Voor het kleuren van de tag heb ik Adirondack paintdaubers gebruikt. De swirl is geëmbossed met ivoorkleurig embossingpoeder.

This weeks mixedmediamonday theme is swirls. I had to (again..) use my favourite Stampington swirlstamp. I made a card out of a large tag for someone who recently moved. The image of the door is a picture I made in Italy this summer. I used Adirondack paintdaubers to colour the tag. The swirls are embossed with ivory embossingpowder.

Gothic arches "Purple"

Weer zo'n fantastisch thema bij gothicarches deze week. Paars is een van mijn favoriete kleuren om mee te werken. Voor deze arch heb ik de achtergrond gesponsd en gestempeld met versamagic in verschillende kleuren paars. Daarna licht besprayed met glimmermist. De embellishments heb ik gemaakt van fimoklei met perfect pearls.

Another great theme at gothicarches this week. Purple is one of my favorite colours to work with. For this arch I sponged and stamped the background with versamagic in different shades of purple. Then I sprayed it lightly with glimmermist. I made the embellishments with clay and perfect pearls.

Skinny saturday "Travel"

Ik vind het "skinny"-formaat zo fantastisch om mee te werken. Deze, met het thema "travel" heb ik gemaakt voor skinnysaturday . De achtergrond is met verschillende kleuren paintdaubers van Adirondack gemaakt. Je krijgt zo'n mooi bijna verweerd effect met die daubers. Gestempeld heb ik met Stazon jet black.

Wednesdaystamper and 4x4 Friday at the same time

Deze charm heb ik gemaakt voor wednesdaystamper .
Het is de 1e charm die ik gemaakt heb en ik vond het ontzettend leuk om te doen. Ik heb de dreamstempel van Stampers Anonymous op shrinkplastic afgedrukt met Stazon en toen gekleurd met chalks. Het sleuteltje heb ik met diamond glaze erop geplakt. Klik op de foto's om te vergroten en meer detail te zien.

I made this charm for wednesdaystamper. It was the first charm I made and I loved to do it. I stamped the Stampers Anonymous dreamstamp on shrinkplastic with Stazon and coloured it with chalks. I attached the key with diamond glaze. Click on the pics to enlarge and see more detail.

En deze 10 bij 10 cm heb ik gemaakt voor 4x4friday. Het thema is deze week "houses". Ik heb gewerkt met mijn favoriete kleuren Adirondack inkt, lettuce en denim.

Vorige week heb ik een dagje bij Sija gestempeld. Toen heb ik deze kaart gemaakt. De achtergrond is gesponsd met Adirondack. Om die achtergrond was het eigenlijk ook een beetje te doen want ik wilde graag nog wat beter leren sponzen. Voor het eerst heb ik voor het inkleuren gebruik gemaakt van kleurpotloden en terpentine. Heel leuk om te doen!

Last week I stamped with Sija and made this card. The background was sponged with Adirondack ink. My purpose was to learn and sponge better. For the first time I coloured the images with pencils and odourless white spirit. I enjoyed doing that!

Het thema van mixedmediamonday is "house" deze week. Dit huis heb ik gemaakt voor iemand die naar zee verhuisd is. De achtergrond is gemaakt met glimmermist. Voor de letters heb ik de masks van Heidi Swap gebruikt.

Nog een hondenarch/another dogarch

Toen ik het thema "dogs" bedacht voor gothicarches had ik eerst deze arch als voorbeeldarch gemaakt. Ik wilde zo graag dit plaatje gebruiken omdat ik het zo schattig vind. Maar op een of andere manier miste ik toch iets waardoor ik hem niet goed genoeg vond als voorbeeldarch. Daarom heb ik nog een andere gemaakt. Maar ik vind het toch leuk om jullie ook deze arch te laten zien, vandaar dat ik hem nu toch op mijn blog gezet heb. Zoals je ziet heb ik een aantal elementen zoals de achtergrondteksten en de always together tekst ook in mijn andere arch gebruikt.

When I decided on the "dogs" theme for gothicarches I made this arch as an example. I so much wanted to use this image because it's so cute. But somehow I missed something that made me decide it wasn't good enough. That's why I made the other one to serve as an example. But I like to show this one to you too, that's why I posted it on my blog. As you can see I used the elements like the backgroundtext and the always together quote in my other arch too.

Skinny Saturday "Friends"

Gisteren ben ik een dagje bij Sija geweest om te stempelen. Omdat ik graag wat beter wilde leren sponzen hebben we dat gedaan want van wie kun je dat nu beter leren dan van iemand die de bijnaam "the Dutch spongequeen" heeft. Vandaag het geleerde meteen nog een keer in de praktijk gebracht op de skinny die ik gemaakt heb voor skinny saturday. Omdat ik een beetje parelmoerachtig papier heb gebruikt geeft at een heel apart effect (dat je op de scan nauwelijks ziet).

Yesterdayh I spent the day stamping at Sija's. Because I want to learn how to sponge better we did that. Who else can you learn that from then someone who's nickname is "the Dutch spongequeen". Today I practiced on this skinny that I made for skinny saturday . The use of pearl paper gives it a special effect (that you cannot really see on the scan).

Gothic arches "Dogs"

Ik vind het ontzettend leuk om af en toe hostess te kunnen zijn voor Gothic arches. Deze week heb ik voor het thema honden gekozen. De band tussen mens en hond is heel speciaal voor mij. Meer daarover kun je lezen op gothicarches. Hoop dat je ook van de partij zult zijn en een arch met dit thema gaat maken!

Wednesdaystamper was een echte uitdaging voor mij deze week want ik houd niet zo van "gefriemel" en dat vond ik dit project wel. Maar ik ben wel redelijk tevreden over mijn 1e button fairy. De vleugels heb ik gestempeld, geëmbossed en toen met glimmermist gesprayed. Een van de knopen heb ik met Stazon bestempeld. Klik op de foto om hem te vergroten en meer detail te zien.

A real challenge for me this weeks wednesdaystamper theme because I don't like fumbling and I think that is what it was this project. But I'm quit pleased with my first button fairy. I stamped the wings, embossed them and sprayed them with glimmermist. I stamped on one of the buttons with Stazon. Klick on the image to enlarge and see more detail.

Het thema van mixedmediamonday is "Childhood". Deze atc's heb ik gemaakt voor mijn 2-maandelijks swap met Viola en ze passen goed in het thema. De achtergrond van de giggle atc is gemaakt met distress inkt en glimmermist. Die van perfect playdate met de paintdaubers van Adirondack.

Terwijl de vogeltjes al bijna hun lenteliedjes lijken te zingen met deze hoge temperaturen is het thema van tmta deze week "Winter". Voor de achtergrond van deze atc heb ik versamarck en glimmermist gebruikt. Kan even geen genoeg krijgen van het mooie effect van de glimmermist.

Een beetje een Flowerpower interpretatie van het thema van gothic arches voor deze week. Het is al even geleden dat ik een plaatje van Kim Anderson gebruikt heb, maar deze vond ik zo mooi voor dit thema. De songtekst en de rest heb ik er speciaal voor dit plaatje "bijverzonnen".

Bit of a Flowerpower interpretation of this weeks gothic arches theme. It's been a while since I used a Kim Anderson image but I liked this one so much for the theme. I "made up" the songtext and the rest specially around this image.

Kon het niet laten om mijn absoluut favoriete Paperwhimsy plaatje te gebruiken voor 4x4friday deze week. En ook mijn spin&splash achtergrondjes heb ik weer even herontdekt lijkt het wel. De kleuren van het plaatje en de achtergrond, die ik al een hele tijd geleden gemaakt heb, matchen perfect vind ik.

Had to use my absolute favorite Paperwhimsy image for this weeks 4x4friday. And it seems as if I have "re-discovered" my spin&splash background. The colours of the image and the background, that I made quit a long time ago, match perfectly I think.

Omdat voor alle achtergronden stempels gebruikt zijn passen ze ook goed in het thema van themethursday van deze week. De eerste keer dat ik mee doe aan deze challenge. Vroeger had ik altijd een heel bakje met verjaardagskaarten op voorraad, maar tegenwoordig lukt me het niet meer om zoveel kaarten te maken omdat ik het ook zo leuk vindt om andere dingen te maken. Gelukkig heb ik altijd wel wat achtergrondjes op voorraad zodat ik dit weekend snel deze verjaardagskaart voor Karin kon maken met een spin&splash achtergrond.

I used to have quit a number of birthdaycards in reseve but nowadays I don't make that much cards because I love to make other things too. Good for me I always make some backgrounds in advance. That's why I could make this quick birthdaywish for Karin with a spin&splash background.

TMTA "Photo rubber stamp"

Het is al een tijdje geleden dat ik mee heb gedaan aan tmta. Het thema deze week is fotostempels. Ik heb een van mijn favoriete fotostempelsheets van Oxford Impressions gebruikt. De strandstoeltjes en de ticket zijn fotostempels. Ik heb de hele atc met Stazon gestempeld op glanzend papier. De achtergrond is gemaakt met een Kaleidocolor inktkussen en een brayer.

It's been a while since I joined tmta. This weeks theme is "photostamps". I used one of my favorite photostampsheets from Oxford Impressions. The chairs and the ticket are photostamps. I stamped everything with Stazon on coated paper. The background is made with a Kaleidocolor inkpad and a brayer.

Gothic arches "Gipsy"

Wat een geweldig thema weer deze week bij gothic arches ! Ik ben nog steeds niet uitgeëxperimenteerd met mijn glimmermist dus ook voor deze achtergrond heb ik glimmermist gebruikt in de kleuren die ook in het plaatje voorkomen. Eerst heb ik de swirlstempel met versamarck gestempeld en toen gesprayed. Geeft een heel mooi effect vind ik zelf. Jammer dat de glimmermist op scans niet zo goed te zien is.

What a great theme again this week at gothic arches ! I still haven't finished experimenting with my glimmermist so I used glimmermist for this background too. I chose colours that are in the image. First I stamped with the swirl and versamarck and then I sprayed the mist. I think this gives a beautiful effect. Pitty the glimmermist doesn't show very well on scans.

Skinny saturday "Birds"

Ik blijf het een geweldig formaat vinden om mee te werken dus als het maar enigzins kan sla ik skinny saturday geen week over. Deze week is het thema "Birds" en dat vindt ik nog steeds een heel leuk thema. Ik heb distressinkt gebruikt voor de achtergrond. De stempels zijn van Greenpepperpress en Oxford impressions.

Vakantie is fantastisch maar wat is het ook weer heerlijk om te kunnen stempelen. Vandaag heb ik deze arch gemaakt voor gothic arches. Het thema voor deze week is "Guardian angel". De achtergrond is gemaakt met glimmermist die ik bestempeld heb met Stazon ultramarine.

Vandaag zijn we teruggekomen van een fantastische reis naar Kenia. We hebben zo veel moois gezien! Eigenlijk is het allemaal nog niet te bevatten. Zoveel indrukken in zo'n korte tijd. Gelukkig hebben we heel veel foto's (meer dan 700) en een vakantiedagboek om de herinneringen aan al dat moois levend te houden. Natuurlijk heb ik nog geen tijd en eerlijk gezegd ook nog geen zin gehad om mijn stempelhok in te duiken. Vandaar deze al wat oudere kaart met het thema "reizen". Maar het zal zeker niet lang duren voor de stempelkriebels weer komen, dus vanaf ergens de komende week zal er zeker weer regelmatig nieuw werk op mijn blog te zien zijn. Dus van harte welkom weer!

Today we returned from a splendid vacation to Kenya. We saw so many beautiful things, one can hardly comprehend! So many impressions in such a short period. Lucky enough we have a lot of pictures (over 700) and our vacation diary to keep our memories of this trip alive. Of course I haven't had the time, nor the spirit, to stamp. That's why I added an old card with the traveltheme to this message. But it won't be long I think before I'm back to stamping again, so sometime this week I'll certainly show new work on my blog. Deze week ben ik druk geweest met de voorbereidingen voor onze vakantie naar Afrika. Daarom is het zo stil op mijn blog. Alles is nu klaar en gelukkig kunnen de hondjes met oppas in huis deze keer lekker thuis blijven. Vind ik wel een prettig idee, zowel voor het huis als voor ons beestenspul. We gaan naar Kenia, vandaar deze kaart de ik al heel lang geleden eens gemaakt heb. Begin januari zijn we terug. Als alles weer een beetje op orde is zul je vanaf de 2e week van januari zoals je gewend bent weer regelmatig nieuwe dingen op mijn blog zien, dus tot januari!

I've been busy this week packing for a trip to Africa. That's why it's so quiet on my blog. Everything is ready now. I'm glad the dogs can stay at home with a doggysitter in the house. I like that idea, for the house as well as for the dogs. We are going to Kenya, that's why I chose this card for this message. I made it a long time ago. We'll be back in january. Deze miniarches heb ik gemaakt voor mijn vaste swapmaatje Nans. We ruilen elke maand 3 atc's. Deze ronde zijn het arches op atc formaat met het geweldige thema "birds". Dat mannetje met het vogelnestje heb ik laatst ook voor een atc gebruikt net als de eierachtergrond maar die vond ik gewoon alletwee zo geweldig dat ik ze nog een keer moest gebruiken.

Ontzettend leuk thema deze week bij saturday stampers. Een kerstkaart zonder kerststempels. Nu heb ik het zo langzamerhand ook wel weer een beetje gehad met mijn kerststempels dus leuk, een kerstkaart op een andere manier. De achtergrond is gemaakt met glimmermist maar dat zie je op de scan niet zo goed. Verder heb ik decorationchalks gebruikt. Dat geeft een heel apart effect contrast met de glimmerende achtergrond.

Great theme at saturday stampers this week. A Christmascard without traditional christmasstamps. By now I'm quit fed up with my christmasstamps so I loved it to make a christmascard in another way. The backgroudn is made with glimmermist but that doesn't really show on the scan. I used decorationchalcks to colour the background stamp. That gives special contrast with the glimmering background.

Een tijdje geleden heb ik meegedaan aan een cijferswap op 1 van de yahoogroepen waar ik lid van ben. Voor die swap heb ik o.a. deze 2 10x10 kaartjes gemaakt die alletwee een achtegrond hebben met dezelfde techniek (crafsheet en water sprayen). De rode is gemaakt met distressinkt en de blauwe met Adirondack. Klik op de foto's om te vergroten.

Puppies!!!!!!!!!

Afgelopen zondag zijn we voor de eerste keer naar "onze" puppy wezen kijken. Een van deze wurmen wordt het. Er zijn 2 reutjes dus voor ons is er de keuze uit 1 van de 2. Ze zijn nog zo klein, zo'n 3 1/2 week oud, dat kiezen nu nog niet lukt en gelukkig ook nog niet hoeft. Begin januari komt ie. Altijd weer spannend zo'n nieuw leventje in huis, maar ik verheug me er enorm op.

Last sunday we visited the breeder of our "new" puppy. It will be one of these little ones. There are 2 dogs in the litter and we can choose from them. There are still so very tiny now, 3 1/2 weeks of age, so it's very difficult to choose at this moment. Fortunately we can take our time with that. He comes to live with us in january. Always exciting a new puppy in the house, I really look forward to it.

Ik was vereerd dat Nancy James me gevraagd heeft om te hosten voor gothic arches . In deze tijd denk je al gauw aan thema's als winter, kerst etc. Een associatie verder ligt gezelligheid, warme chocolademelk .. en zo kwam ik op het thema voor de challenge.

Denk niet dat ik hier hoef te vertellen dat ik gek ben op werken met distressinkt. Degenen die mijn blog regelmatig bezoeken weten dat ongetwijfeld. Ik was dan ook blij met het thema van skinny saturday deze week. Deze skinny lijkt een beetje op een atc die ik onlangs gemaakt heb maar vond dit plaatje en die kleurencombinatie zo mooi dat ik er gewoon nog een keer iets mee moest maken. De achtergrondstempel is van een prachtige sheet van Green pepper press.

I don't think I have to mention here that I love to work with distressinks. People who visit my blog more often know that without doubt. That's why I love this weeks skinny saturday theme. This skinny looks a bit like an atc I made recently. But I liked the colourcombo and this image so much that I had to used them again. Een hele tijd geleden heb ik met deze stempel van Stamp Francisco 9 kaarten gemaakt en opgestuurd naar Stampington voor de "Different point of view" rubriek in de Stampers Sampler. Nooit meer iets van gehoord dus ik heb geen flauw idee of ze aangekomen zijn en al helemaal niet of ze ooit geplaatst worden. Leek me geen kwaad kunnen om er zo maar eens eentje op mijn blog te laten zien.

Heb met Angelina een atc ruil afgesproken met het thema "Winter". Dit zijn de atc's die ik voor haar gemaakt heb. Voor de achtergrond heb ik de teksten eerst geëmbossed en na het kleuren de embossingpoeder weer weggestreken. Ik heb ze gesponst met distressinkt en ook met die inkt bestempeld.

Agreed on a atc-swap with Angelina. The theme was "Winter". These are the atc's I made for her. I embossed the quotes and removed the embossingpowder after colouring the backgrounds. I used distressink to colour the backgrounds an stamped with these inks too.

Wat ik nog steeds zo ontzettend leuk vind aan stempelen is dat je stempels op zoveel verschillende manieren kunt gebruiken. Alleen al door een andere kleur of achtergrond kun je met dezelfde stempel een heel andere atmosfeer krijgen. De tag op de foto heb ik gemaakt voor een internationale alfabetswap. De achtegrond is gemaakt met Adirondack. Het stylestone boekje heb ik samen met Jeanette gemaakt. Dat was nog geen eenvoudige klus. Het bestempelen wel, maar het gepriegel om de rest goed in elkaar te krijgen.. Klik op de foto om te vergroten.

What I like so much about stamping is that you can stamps in so many different ways. By just changing background or colour you can create a totally different atmosphere with the same stamp. I made the tag for an international alphabetswap. The background is made with Adirondack ink. I made the stylestonebook when I stamped with Jeanette for a day. That wasn't so simple. Geweldig thema deze week bij saturdaystampers. Ik ben gek op ton-sur-ton werken. Dat zal niets nieuws zijn voor degenen die mijn blog regelmatig bezoeken. Voor deze kaart heb ik een alcoholinkt achtergrond gebruikt. Ik heb de achtergrondstempels geëmbossed in een bijpassende kleur 2-tonig embossingpoeder. De stempel met de engeltjes is een van mijn favoriete kerststempels.

Great theme this week at saturdaystampers . I love working tone on tone. That will not come as a surprise for people who regularly visit my blog. I used a alcoholink background for this card. Dit is mijn diptych skinny voor skinny saturday . Natuurlijk weer in de kerstsfeer, zodat ik hem ook als kerstkaart kan gebruiken. Met het lintje kan ik hem dichtstrikken voor het versturen.
De teksten heb ik eerst geëmbossed met clear embossingpoeder. Daarna alles gesponst met distressinkt en toen de embossingpoeder weg gehaald met het strijkijzer. Klik op de foto om hem te vergroten.

This is my skinny for skinny saturday. Of course christmas atmosphere so that I can use it as a christmas card. With the ribbon I can close it before sending it. Wednesdaystamper "Chairs"

Toen ik het wednesdaystamper thema van deze week zag, wist ik zeker dat het niet zou gaan lukken om iets te maken. Ik heb geen stempels met stoelen dacht ik en ik heb ook eigenlijk helemaal niets met stoelen. Tot...ik deze ene Paperbagstudio stempel tegen kwam die ik nog nooit gebruikt had. En zo rolde deze kaart uit mijn vingers die ik (effe lekker onbescheiden) nu zelf toch wel heel mooi vind. De scan is een beetje op de loop gegaan met het groen van de achtergrondkaart. In het echt passen de kleuren perfect bij elkaar.

When I saw this weeks wednesdaystamper theme I was convinced I wouldn't be able to make something. I thought I didn't own stamps with chairs and the chairs didn't attract me at all. Until...I found this Paperbagstudio stamp that I never used until now. And that's how this card came out of my hands, that (a bit immodist for once) I like very much myself. The scan enhanced the green of the backgroundcard much too much. In real colours fit perfectly.

4x4 friday "Trees"

Ik probeer nu toch echt maar eens zo af en toe iets voor de kerst te maken. De tijd begint aardig te dringen en erg ver ben ik nog niet. Deze week heb ik dit puzzelstuk gemaakt. De achtergrond is met Adirondack inkt gemaakt en ook bestempeld. De kleuren komen op de scan wat fletser over dan ze in het echt zijn.

I try and make Christmascards every once in a while. Time is going fast and I didn't make a lot of christmascards until this moment. The background is done (and stamped too) with Adirondack ink. The colours are more vivid in real than they are on the scan.

1. If you could have 100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?
I'd certainly go for the embellishments. Paper is piling up here. When I'm making something I can't find what I'm looking for and decide on stamping a background or I decide not to use it because I still want to save it for other projects (never to come..)
2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rubons, which would you choose?
Definitely stamps!
3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year, which would you do?
Cards, that's for sure. I'm not a scrapper. I do use scrapbookmaterials and -paper in my projects, making cards and other stamped projects is what I like most.
4. Would you rather own a scrap booking store or have your own scrapping room at home (can’t have both hee hee).
If I can define scrapbookroom as craftroom it would be the this. I think owning a store would leave me too little time to create for myself and that's what I love to do.
5. What is your CURRENT card making or scrapping style?
I choose my nickname "Dutch stamptramp" because I don't have "A" style. Love to wander from one technique or style to another and it doesn't come in periods. So my current style changes depending on the moment.

Leuk thema weer deze week bij tmta. Ik vind het altijd leuk om in zwart-wit te werken en dit thema leent zich daar ook heel goed voor. Had eigenlijk geen tijd dus het is een "vluggertje" geworden.

Great theme again at tmta this week. I love to work in black and white and it suits this them well. I didn't have much time so it's a "quicky".

Heerlijk op zondag uitkijken naar wat het nieuwe thema voor gothic arches zal zijn. Ik ben gek op allerlei tekststempels dus het thema van deze week past me heel goed. Voor de achtergrond heb ik scrapbookpapier gebruikt dat ik gesponst heb en daarna bestempeld.

Such a great feeling on sunday waiting for the reveal of the new gothic arches theme. I'm fond of all kinds of text- and quote stamps so this weeks theme fits me very well. I used scrapbookpaper for the background. I sponged and then stamped it.

Skinny saturday "Pets"

"Pets" is het thema van skinny saturday deze week. Dit plaatje had ik al even liggen en vond ik leuk om voor dit thema te gebruiken.
Het idee van de rozen is een beetje hetzelfde als mijn skinny van vorige week, maar ik heb het toch gedaan omdat ik de rozen zo mooi bij het plaatje vond passen. De scan laat het geheel jammer genoeg weer niet helemaal in de goede kleuren zien.

"Pets" is this weeks skinny saturday theme. I had this image for quit a while and think it fits the theme well. With the rose paper it looks a bit like my previous skinny but the match the image so well. The scan doesn't show the actual colours very well.

Voor de maandelijks tagswap met Jeanette was het thema een accordeontag met Paper artsy stempels. Gezien het formaat lukt het niet om hem helemaal goed op de scan of foto te krijgen maar deze foto's geven wel een indruk. Voor de achtergrond heb ik aquarelverf gebruikt. Hij is helemaal bestempeld (voor- en achterkant). Klik op de foto's om ze te vergroten.

This months theme for my tagswap with Jeanette was to make an accordiontag with Paper artsy stamps. I don't get it entirely on a scan or pictures but this pictures give an impression. Zo langzamerhand is het toch echt tijd om aan de kerstkaarten te beginnen. Andere jaren heb ik er rond deze tijd altijd al een heleboel gemaakt, maar met alle swaps, challengeblogs en zo is het er nog niet van gekomen. Vanavond toch maar eens de kerststempels voor de dag gehaald en dit puzzelstuk gemaakt.

Is becoming time to make christmascards. Usually I already made lots of them at this time of the year but with swaps I was participating in, challengeblogs etc. I hardly made any. Today I picked up my christmas stamps and made this puzzle piece.

Voor mijn maandelijkse swap met Nans is het thema deze maand gothic arches op atc-formaat in bruin-beige tinten. Ik heb deze 3 gemaakt, alledrie met een verschillende achtergrond techniek. De 1e is een transfer. De 2e heb ik geëmbossed met clear embossingpoeder, daarna gekleurd met distressinkt en toen het embossingpoeder weggestreken. De tekststempel toen erop geëmbossed met bruin embossingpoeder. Voor de 3e heb ik walnutdaubers gebruikt en daarna geëmbossed met antiek goud. De plaatjes zijn van .... P... For my monthly swap with Nans this months theme is mini gothic arces at atc-size in brown-beige tones. I made these 3 using different backgroundtechniques. The first is a transfer. For the 2th I embossed the background with clear embossingpowder and then sponged it with distressink. After that I used an iron to remove the embossingpowder and then finished it by embossing the quotes with brown embossingpowder. Oh al die leuke challenge blogs! Ga vanaf nu maar proberen om het thema steeds te combineren in een kerstkaart anders ben ik bang dat niemand dit jaar een zelfgemaakte kerstkaart van me krijgt. Het thema van saturdaystampers is deze week "collage". Voor deze kaart heb ik behangpapier staaltjes gebruikt als achtergrond. De stempel heb ik geëmbossed met mooie 2-tonige embossingpoeder en daarna met aquarelverf ingekleurd. Helaas laat de scan de kleurtjes lang niet zo mooi zien als ze in het echt zijn.

Oh all these addictive challengeblogs! From now on I'll try and combine themes with Christmascards as much as I can. Otherwise no one will receive a handmade Christmascard from me. This weeks saturdaystampers theme is collage. I made this card with scraps of wallpaper in the background. I embossed the stamp with beautiful 2-toned embossingpowder and coloured it with aquarelpaint. The scan doesn't at all show the colours as pretty as they are in real.

Ik vind het altijd leuk om in zwart-wit te werken omdat het vaak zo sprekend is. Dus het thema deze week van skinny saturday sprak me wel weer aan. Voordeel is ook nog eens een keer dat als je eenmaal een idee hebt het zo klaar is.

I love to work in black and white because it often is so striking. So I liked this weeks skinny saturday theme. Advantage of working in black and white is that when you have the idea it's finished in moments.

Flagbook

Met anne heb ik een tijdje geleden afgesproken dat we regelmatig zullen swappen en dan elke keer een ander onderwerp zullen pakken. Onze 1e ruil was een flagbook. Het flagbook van Anne vind je wat verderop op mijn blog bij de oudere berichten. Dit is het flagbook dat ik voor Anne heb gemaakt. Het thema is "travel". Voor de basis van de kaft en de tags heb ik Adirondackinkt gebruikt die gesponst en bestempeld is en daarna bewerkt met Gesso. Daarna heb ik alles afgewerkt met stempels, plaatjes etc. De bolletjes zijn aangebracht met Lumiere metallic verf. Het was een enorme klus maar ik heb er met heel veel plezier aan gewerkt. Anne and I agreed recently on swapping at regular base with a different kind of project each time. Our 1th trade was a flagbook. You can find Anne's flagbook in the older messages on my blog. This is the flagbook I made for Anne. I chose "travel" as a theme. I used Adirondack that was sponged, stamped and covered with gesso for the base. I finished of with stamps, images etc. The glimmering rounds are done with Lumiere metallic paint. It was a lot of work but I had so much fun making it. Gothic arches "Halloween"

Ook het thema voor gothic arches is Halloween deze week. Omdat ik geen Halloween stempels heb moet ik het Halloween thema vooral met plaatjes uitbeelden, hoewel er links en rechts wel een stempeltje aan te pas is gekomen.

This weeks gothic arches is Halloween too. Because I don't have Halloween stamps I have to use images for the Halloween theme. although I used an occasional stamp.

Spin&splash weer even helemaal terug van weg geweest. Dit achtergrondje vond ik qua kleur erg mooi bij het thema "Pumpkins" van 4x4friday passen. De pompoenplaatjes zijn nog uit mijn 3d-tijd en het plaatje van het meisje is van Paper Whimsy.

Spin&splash back from beeing gone. I thougth this background would perfectly fit this weeks "Pumpkin" theme from 4x4friday. The pumpkin images are from the time I used to make 3d-cards and the girl image is from Paper Whimsy.

Het is alweer een hele tijd geleden dat ik nog eens een spin&splash kaartje gemaakt heb. Deze achtergrond had ik nog liggen. Omdat de kleurtjes altijd al zo mooi en sprekend zijn vind ik het vaak lastig om te cominberen met andere dingen. Ik heb op deze kaart met goud geëmbossed maar dat komt op de scan niet zo heel goed tot zijn recht.

It's been a while since I made a spin&splash card. This is a background I made some time ago. Because the colours of spin&splash backgrounds are always zo beautiful and strong I often find it difficult to combine them with other things. I used gold embossing powder on this one but it doesn't show too well on this scan.

Wednesdaystamper "Growing old"

Hoewel ik soms aardig felle kleurtjes kan gebruiken houd ik er ook heel erg van ton-sur-ton te werken. Dat heb ik bij deze atc dan ook gedaan.
"Growing old" het thema deze week van wednesdaystamper, betekent familie om je heen krijgen en soms weer verliezen, steeds meer herinneringen krijgen, maar je ook soms afvragen wat, hoe, wanneer was het ook weer. Daarom deze atc voor dit thema. Hij is helemaal gestempeld met Vivid plum inkt op roze papier. De afbeelding is met de vivid- aquareltechnique wat ingekleurd.

Although I like to work with bright and strong colours I also love working tone-on-tone very much. That's what I did with this atc.
"Growing old" , this weeks wednesdaystamper theme means gathering family around you and sometimes loose them too, gathering more and more memories. But it also means sometimes wondering what, how, when was it. That's why I think this atc fits this weeks theme. It is stamped with Vivid plum on pink paper. The imagestamp is coloured a little with the vivid-aquareltechnique.

Alweer zo verwend/spoiled again

Na het prachtige canvasje van Sija ben ik vandaag verwend met dit schitterende flagbook van Anne . We hebben afgesproken een flagboek te swappen met een vrij thema. En dit moois met het thema "Art" rolde vandaag in mijn brievenbus. Ik raak maar niet uitgekeken op al dat moois! Klik op de foto's om ze te vergroten.

TMTA "Friends"

"Friends" vind ik altijd een ontzettend leuk thema, dus ik was blij toen ik zag dat dit het thema van deze week was voor tmta deze week. Heb verschillende stempels met "friends" teksten maar die heb ik nu eens niet gebruikt. De achtergrond is gemaakt met scrappapier in combinatie met stempels en het plaatje is...ja hoe kan het ook anders, van Paperwhimsy.

I love "Friends" as s theme so I was glad to see that that was this weeks tmta theme. I own several several "friends"textstamps but didn't use them for this atc. The background is made with scrappaper combined with stamps and the image is...of course Paperwhimsy.

Gothic arches "Hands"

Blijf het een fantastische vorm vinden om mee te werken zo'n Gothic arch. Hoewel ik het thema deze week, "handen" niet zo heel gemakkelijk vond is het me toch gelukt om een arch te maken voor gothicarches. Ik heb voor deze arch de frescotechniek gebruikt. De handen en de cirkels zijn met goud geëmbossed. In het echt is het bloemetje niet zo fel paars maar op de scan knalt het er op een of andere manier uit.

I keep loving this arch template to work with. Although this weeks theme "hands" wasn't that easy I managed to make an arch for gothicarches . I used the frescotechnique. The hands and cirkels are embossed with gold. In real the flower isn't by far so purple as it seems on the scan.

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt op bestelling. Het moest een sjieke kaart worden voor iemand die van rood houdt. Voor de achtergrond heb ik Basic grey papier gebruikt dat ik wat bijgesponst heb in de kleuren van het plaatje. Voor de achtergrond heb ik mijn op dit moment favoriete swirl gebruikt van Stampers Anonymous.

I made this card as on order for someone. It had to be a classy card for someone who loves red. I used Basic grey paper for the background that I sponged a little to match the colours of the image. I used my favorite Stampers Anonymous swirl in the background.

Skinny saturday "Fairies"

Oh wat een geweldig formaat om mee te werken toch weer. Deze week is het thema van skinny saturday Faries. Uit mijn 3-d tijd heb ik nog een hele stapel knipvellen met flowerfairies liggen en daar heb ik er nu eentje van gebruikt. De achtergrond is gemaakt met distressinkt en geëmbossed met mooi 2-tonig embossingpoeder. Het bijzondere effect daarvan zie je niet helemaal op de scan. Klik om de foto te vergroten.

Oh what a great size to work with! This weeks skinny saturday theme is Fairies. I have a lot of flowerfairies images from the time I made 3-d cards and I used one of this here. The background is made with distressink and embossed with beautiful 2-toned embossingpowder. The special effect of that doesn't show good on the scan. Click on the picture to enlarge it.

Gezellig dagje/great day

Gisteren heb ik gezellig gestempeld met Sija. Of gestempeld hebben we eigenlijk niet eens zo veel want we zijn voornamelijk bezig geweest met achtergronden. Ik ben zo ontzettend verwend door Sija want ik kreeg van haar dit mooie, bijzondere canvasje. De primeur ook, want het was het eerste echte Mixed media project en canvasje dat ze op deze manier gemaakt heeft. Jullie snappen wel dat, behalve dat ik hem bloedmooi vind, ik me ook bijzonder vereerd voel. Klik op de foto's om te vergroten zodat je ook alle prachtige details kunt zien.

Yesterday I spent a great day stamping with Sija . Stamping isn't exactly the right word because we mainly made backgrounds. Sija spoiled me so much by giving me this gorgeous and very special canvas. Extra special because it was her first real Mixed media project and first canvas made in this way. 4x4 Friday "Dream, inspire, create

Vandaag met Sija lekker zitten rommelen met achtergrondjes. De achtergrond van deze 10x10 voor 4x4friday is gemaakt met Ecoline. Omdat de kleuren nog al knal waren heb ik, na het stempelen met paarse Stazon, het geheel met Gesso bewerkt. Op de scan komen de achtergrondkleuren wat te flets over en de bloempjes wat te fel. In het echt past het allemaal wat beter bij elkaar.

Today Sija and I messed around with backgrounds. The background of this 4x4 for 4x4friday was made with Ecoline. I stamped it with purple Stazon. The colours were very strong so I put gesso over it to soften them. The scan shows the background too pale and the flowers to strong. In real everything fits together a little bit better.

Even snel/just a quick one

Deze boekenlegger heb ik een tijdje geleden gemaakt voor een vriend. De achtergrond is gemaakt met Adirondack inkt en een stempel van Greenpepperpress die ik erg mooi vind en die snel een van mijn favoriete stempels is geworden.

Ook al weer zo'n leuk formaatje om mee te werken, 6 bij 6 cm. Het plaatje is met behulp van golden gel medium getransfered. De achtergrond is gemaaktmet distressinkt, hoe kan het ook anders.. .

TMTA "Moon&stars"

Met alvast een knipoog naar de kerst heb ik deze atc gemaakt voor het tmta thema "Moon&stars" van deze week.De achtergrond is gemaakt met Adirondack inkt en de maan en sterren met versamarck en decoration chalks. Daarna nog bespoten met wat glimmering mist maar dat zie je op de scan bijna niet.

Op vakantie in Engeland heb ik enkele boekjes met prachtige oude foto´s gekocht. Daar komt deze foto uit, die natuurlijk origineel in zwart-wit was. Ik heb de pakken ingekleurd met waterverf. En zo past het geheel in het thema "Party" van gothicarches van deze week.

I bought some books with gorgeous old pictures on my holiday in England last week. That's were this pictures comes from. Of course it was orignally black&white. I coloured the suits with watercolour paint. And now it fit's in this weeks "Party" theme from gothicarches .

Deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor saturdaystampers. Wat een goed idee om via de challenge aandacht te vragen voor borstkanker! De achtergrond van mijn kaart is gemaakt met alcoholinkt. De stempel is van de prachtige nieuwe sheet van Paperbag studios. In het echt passen de kleuren van de achtergrond, het lintje en het papier van de kaart veel beter bij elkaar dan op de scan.

Made this card for saturdaystampers. What a great idea to use this challenge to raise awareness for breastcancer! I made the background of my card with alcoholink. The stamp is from the gorgeous new Paperbag studios plate. On the scan the colours of background, ribbon and cardstock match much better than shown on the scan.
